DataWind launches three new UbiSlate tablets, starting at Rs. 3,999
DataWind, the company that spearheaded
the Aakash tablet project, has launched three new UbiSlate tablets -
UbiSlate 7Cx, UbiSlate 3G7 and UbiSlate 9Ci.
Priced at Rs. 3,999, the UbiSlate 7Cx
features a 7-inch TFT capacitive touch display. It runs Android 4.0.4 OS
and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 512MB of RAM and
2GB of built-in storage. The tablet comes with SIM slot, supports
microSD and microUSB.
The UbiSlate 3G7,
recently spotted on the U.S. FCC website, features 7-inch TFT
capacitive touch display. It runs Android 4.0.4 OS and is powered by a
1GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in
storage. The tablet has front VGA and rear 2MP cameras. For
connectivity, the tablet comes embedded UMTS modem, and supports 3G,
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The UbiSlate 3G7 is priced at Rs. 6,999.
The UbiSlate 9Ci features a 9-inch TFT
capacitive touchscreen. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by
a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in
storage. The tablet has front VGA camera. For connectivity, the tablet
supports Wi-Fi.

All the three new DataWind tablets
feature G-sensor, come preloaded with a range of educational,
entertainment, and utility apps for all age-groups. The products are
powered with free E-Book App for Class 1 to 12 NCERT in English, Hindi
& Urdu Medium; Test Preparation Tool; Free Higher Education &
Soft-Skill Courses powered by CEC London; English language learning
tools; Interactive Multimedia-rich educational resources; Bollywood
Music and Movies; Antivirus & Anti-theft Pack by E-Scan; MapMyIndia
Navigation; games and more.
